Our Black Friday Event is On Nov. 23-30. All Pre-Owned Vehicles Are on Sale!
At Acura Pickering Paint and Collision Centre in Pickering, Ontario, our certified auto body technicians have gotten car repairs down to a science. This highly regulated 10-step process is what we use for every single car, truck, van, or SUV that comes in for accident repairs, regardless of brand.
A trained Customer Service Estimator will schedule the time to look over your vehicle to get a visual assessment and make sure of safe operations. It may also be necessary to have body panels removed and then later reinstalled to check for any hidden damage giving you an accurate cost and time of repair.
Once you have dropped off for the repairs, the vehicle is washed, mapped, colour verification completed, and an electronic diagnostic scan is performed. All parts needed to complete the repair are removed and the repair plan is finalized.
The repair estimate is completed with photos and any parts or price increases, supplements are put in writing for you or your insurance companies’ approval, before moving forward with parts ordering or repairs.
All parts are order from the requested supplier or approved vendor of choice, parts are inspected for quality, damage and “mirror matched” for preciseness.
If your car’s frame and/or chassis is mis-aligned, the vehicle is mounted to a frame machine securing factory control points and an electronic measuring and a pulling system is utilized to correct any damages to the structure.
This is the most important step in laying the foundation for a seamless factory appearance. All parts are checked for fit and the body is repaired, sanded, and smoothed to a perfect uniformity.
Using environmentally friendly waterborne paints the colour is verified again, final prep, priming and final finesse sanding is competed. The vehicle is painted in a factory matched base coat (the colour) and a urethane clear coat (the deep shine) and put through a downdraft baking booth, giving a flawless invisible repair.
After the paint has fully cured, we reinstall all remaining body panels and trim pieces. Our technicians also go through a checklist and ensure that all system sensors are reset to normal including a post electronic diagnostic scan.
Now our professional detailers spend the time to give your car a thorough inspection in and out. We also perform a wet sanding and a high speed polish (when necessary) to ensure a perfect paint finish with zero imperfections. A production coordinator will sign off for final approval, too.
Time to pick up your vehicle! One of our staff will go over the repair invoice and give you the chance to look over your car so that it meets your highest expectations.
Our team has multiple access to a number of CSN Certified Collision Centres through our group. You can drop your vehicle off with us in Pickering or do your own drop-off and pick-up after we schedule an appointment.
We currently have two extensive state-of-the-art facilities, both recognized in the collision industry for their forward-thinking and production processes. We have several Original Manufacturer certifications, they are “preferred” collision repair shops for most major insurance companies and capable of direct billing to all others.
When you have been involved in a collision or your vehicle needs auto body, paint, or glass repair services it is important to know that your vehicle is being repaired properly both for your safety and your peace of mind. But how do you know if the collision centre you are using has the knowledge to repair your vehicle to like-new condition?
No matter what happens, we’ll straighten it out!
Come in for an estimate or a shop tour, and allow us to show the difference between a “Collision Centre” and just some ordinary “Bodyshop”.
