After years of building relationships with customers, the team needed a larger building. That is when we moved into our current location, between Rouge Park and Whites Road on Kingston Road in Pickering.

City of Pickering

The City of Pickering came into existence when the Regional Municipality of Durham was formed in 1974, marking the end of Ontario County. Formerly known as the Town of Pickering, it attained the city status in 2000. 

Situated on the eastern side of Toronto, the city has flourished over the years. Pickering boasts of several renowned landmarks such as the Pickering Town Centre, Pickering Casino Resort and the waterfront trail, which spans from Oshawa to Niagara-on-the-lake.

Acura Pickering and The Durham Region

Our growth has been consistent, and we attribute this to our amazing customers and the community we serve. Our managing partners have always valued giving back to the community and being involved in Pickering.

We take students from Dunbarton High School on as co-op students every year, so they can experience working as an automotive technician and gain hands-on training. Students who are interested are often moved into paid positions when they’ve graduated.

As part of our commitment to giving back, we proudly support Lakeridge Health Foundations' Drive4Dollars campaign. This initiative donates a portion of every car sold to support critical healthcare infrastructure in the Durham Region. In 2020, the proceeds were donated to the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre at the Oshawa Hospital.

The Westney Heights Baptist Church Walkers Club and softball teams are both sponsored by us as well. Additionally, Pickering residents recognize us as an annual drop-off location for toys and non-perishable food during CTV's Toy Mountain campaign.

Recently we have also agreed to sponsor the U-12 rep baseball team in Ajax, Go Spartans!
